Eagle Folk
The Eagle Folk are the rulers of the Air tribes, fiercely territorial, and exacting in their practice and expectation. Living in the highest reaches of the Otherworlds, they open their temples only to those who have proven themselves to be of clear and sound minds. They are as noble as they are picky when it comes to taking students, but once a mentorship has been established, they are beyond generous with their time and information.
To an Eagle, it is not only important to have a grasp of the facts, but be able to seek the truth. While they value a good memory, mindless repetition without understanding the source is anathema to them. Eagle is about the passion of knowledge, and the endless search for deeper (or higher) answers. The heat and light of the sun that they bestow is meant to fire the imagination and love of learning inherent in all beings—often sadly forgotten among humans.
Eagles, even at home, are almost never seen in human form. As they have near-perfect memories, they have little need for writing or books to preserve their knowledge. The aesthetic of an Eagle tends to be simple, clean and even verging on austere. While the Goose folk are comforted by stack of tomes and other literary clutter, Eagles much prefer open spaces with one of two focal points on which to turn their talon-sharp minds. They firmly believe that the best way to learn something is to experience it, even when it comes to more abstract subjects like history or physics. One of their greatest gifts is that of visualization, making events so real as to believe oneself to be in the middle of a battle, or at the birth of a star.
